Why Philanthropy?

Philanthropy is defined as voluntary action intended for the public good. From a very young age, I have been surrounded by people who have a heart for giving back, it has always been second nature to me. Coming to Auburn, I had the intention of studying Early Childhood Education, yet when I heard more about the Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies program I realized that I had more of a heart for giving back and changing the world. I then decided to pursue a career in the world of philanthropy and nonprofits to further the passion that I have for serving others.
